What We Know About Orion
Hello, I'm Orion! I'm about 6.5 years old and weigh 115 pounds.

Large dogs aren't harder to love - sometimes they just need a little extra support. Ask us about our More to Love adoption resources for large breed dogs and puppies. I have a medical waiver that staff can discuss with you further!

I'm eligible for Greenhill's Foster-to-Adopt Program! Through this program, you can foster me to see if we are a good match before committing to an adoption. Canine program staff can tell you more and you can learn more about this program here: www.green-hill.org/foster-to-adopt.

** I'm a volunteer favorite and here's why:
"Since he's staying on the end of the kennels, every time I walk by he is so kind and sweet. He mostly shows that by being so calm. I've seen him take a bath and he does so well! He is a sweet, sweet boy."
"Orion is a really calm and gentle dog. He's been here a long time and I don't know why." **

Do you like...

Dogs? I do. Bring any dogs from your home to meet me!

Cats? I have a high prey drive & I'm looking for a kitty-free home.

Kids? I am a big gentle guy but don't want to knock anyone over. I'd like to start out meeting kids a little bit older. (9+)

Anything else you'd like us to know, Orion? I'm a tender guy who loves getting scritches and affection. I like to go on walks and chill on my bed after!

I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.

It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption.

My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!

ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license.

This pet is located at Greenhill Humane Society. 88530 Greenhill Road Eugene, OR 97402 (541) 689-1503. See all of the pets at this shelter by visiting www.green-hill.org.
