What We Know About Hershel
Hello, I'm Hershel! I'm about 2 years old and weigh 84 pounds.
** Here is what volunteers say about me:
"Hershel is such a gentle guy. He is lovely on walks. He likes to stop and smell and is overall a chill dog."
"Hershel was 10/10. He sat when I entered and harnessed him. He exited with no reactivity and walked right beside me keeping his leash loose. He was friendly and easy to walk. He is super silly and loving when he warms up. He has a happy go lucky personality and shows a lot of loyalty." **

Dogs? I can be a bit forward when meeting other dogs but did well with the dogs I've met here at the shelter. Please bring any dogs in the home to meet and we'll see how we get along!
Cats? My history is unknown. With slow, properly supervised and managed introductions I may be able to live with a cat.
Kids? I'd like to start meeting kids 8+!
I came into the shelter as a stray and the above information is all recommendations based on my behavior seen at the shelter. I have no known history. Expect to learn more about me after adoption.
It is unknown how this animal will do in their new home as all animals can be different with each person. It is important to take this into consideration when thinking about adopting and making sure you are prepared to work with any potential medical or behavior issues that occur after adoption.
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more!
Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me! If you think we would be a good match come on down and ask to meet me! I'm looking for my forever home and it could be with you!
ADOPTION INFORMATION: If you live in the city of Eugene or in Lane County you will be purchasing a dog license in addition to the adoption fee. You will get to choose between a one year, two year, or three year license.
